Project overview

On this Hagie STS16, BK Industrial Coatings achieved full spectrum protection and restoration, preparing it to perform in tough environments. The customer visited the manufacturing plant to see the sprayer in production, where Hagie referred BK Industrial Coatings for protection against corrosion, oxidation, and UV damage.

What we accomplished

The project involved detailed preparation and ceramic coating across major sprayer assemblies.

Under chassis

Frame rails, fittings, brackets, major welds, and bolts were decontaminated before two layers of ceramic coating were applied.

Booms and lifting rack

Outer faces were polished to remove water spots and marring, then inner and outer surfaces were prepped and coated.

Wheels and steering

Wheels were polished, prepped, and coated on inner and outer faces. Steering components received a mix of polishing, hand coating, and airbrush application.

Chassis and booms ceramic coated

Bottom covers were removed to access under chassis components. The process used hand application for a base layer and airbrush application with an Iwata LPH 80 airbrush set to 12 PSI for complete coverage in hard to reach areas.

  • Frame rails, fittings, hose connectors, brackets, welds, and bolts
  • Outer faces of boom sections on all four sides
  • Cab glass, roof, platforms, handrails, and tank supports
  • Airbag lift assembly and black plastic cover
